Lunch was at Keith and we then went on to Naracoorte Caves where we were met by Peter Rymill and Margaret Muller. We had tours of Blanche Cave and Wonnabi Fossil Centre. Afternoon tea was at Bent Wing Café. We then visited Rymill Winery and were given a brief history of Coonawarra District by Peter Rymill and vintage readings by his brother Andrew and Margaret Muller. Overnight was at Chardonnay Lodge, Coonawarra. On Saturday we had a tour of Penola and environs with readings at various sites. We visited Old Penola Estate the home of Peter Rymill, Yallum Park and the John Riddoch Interpretative Centre. After lunch at the Pipers of Penola Restaurant we visited the Mary MacKillop Centre and had time for private walks around Penola. Dinner was at the Royal Oak Hotel. On Monday, we travelled to Robe and to visit Margaret Muller’s beach house there. We then met ‘The Woman in Black’ at the Interpretative Centre and were taken for a town walk and bus tour of the local area with her. After lunch at the Caledonian Inn we returned to Adelaide via the Coorong. The trip was organised by Elizabeth Rogers.
