10.15 – 11.00 am     Guest Speaker: Liz Harfull, Adelaide Hills author and journalist, photographer 

                                   and consultant: Giving a voice  to women’s stories in local history

 11.00 – 11.30 am    Morning Tea

11.30 – 1.00 pm       Group reports – groups present an appraisal of how their group has influenced

                                   local attitudes toward local heritage preservation and recognition (5 minutes

                                   each plus question time at the end of the session)

1.00 – 1.45 pm         Lunch

1.45 – 3.15 pm          Site tours – Marble Hill – a restoration project in action.  Guided tours of the

                                   Stables and grounds, including hilltop lookout.  (No public access to main

                                   residence which is still a building site)

3.15 to 3.30 pm      Afternoon tea and closure of the seminar.

2.00 pm       Afternoon tour of historic points of interest in and around Port Adelaide

                                      eg the Lighthouse, Semaphore, Fort Glanville and Port Misery

Did you miss out on our Wheal Watkins mine tours during South Australia’s History Festival? Please join us for a surface visit to the State Heritage listed Wheal Watkins mine at Glen Osmond. This is a free event where you can learn more about the mine’s history and look into the tunnels from the mine entrances.

We’d love to see the mine reopened for heritage tours in the future.

Parking available at the end of Allandale Avenue, Glen Osmond.
