The Story of the Adelaide Zoo: Past, Present and Future

Adelaide Zoo is the second oldest Zoo in Australia and has seen many changes over that time. Monarto Safari Park has just celebrated its 40th anniversary. Elaine’s talk will give an overview of the interesting history of the Zoo, some current projects and also discuss future plans for both Adelaide Zoo and Monarto Safari Park.
Elaine Bensted is Chief Executive, Zoos South Australia, a Council member of the World Association of Zoos and Aquarium, and President of the Zoo and Aquarium Association.
