The Regal Theatre: Celebrating 100 years.

The rich history and vibrant future of the iconic Regal Theatre will be explored. Hear about Adelaide’s oldest continuosly operating purpose-built cinema and the city’s last remaining silent-era theatre still in operation. Discover the theatre’s remarkable past, gain insight into the rewards and challenges of managing it today and hear about the exciting redevelopment plans on the horizon.
Steve Virgo has been the manager of the Regal Theatre since December 2016. He has more than 21 years working in the cinema industry including a long stint working as a projectionist and manager at Hoyts Cinemas back when film was physical film.
Anne Monceaux has been a lifelong supporter and advocate of the Regal Theatre. She has been Mayor of Burnside since November 2018 and prior to that was a councillor representing the Beaumont Ward.
